SQLQuery bypasses the BDE and uses the DBLIB driver supplied by Microsoft. This driver offers speed and high stability. The raw execution speed of SQLQuery is comparable with TQuery using SQL Links on reading rows but is more than 100% faster on updating ! SQLQuery acts as a live query, displaying inserted rows and IDENTITY values correctly. SQLQuery har been enhanced with read-ahead row buffering, asynchronous execution and the possibility to use local files as cache, thereby minimizing the memory requirements. By using these features the percieved speed of an application is vastly improved.
